Probation For Assault That Broke Rochester Woman’s Hip
A former Rochester man has been sentenced to 5 years on probation for a felony assault conviction stemming from an attack on a woman that left her with a broken hip.
46-year-old Terry Hart, who now lives in Arizona, earlier pleading guilty to the 3rd-degree count in exchange for the dismissal of several other charges related to the assault in December 2018. Hart was also ordered to pay $2,700 restitution to the victim.
The woman told police Hart threw her against a wall them onto the floor after she looked inside a box he was removing from her home and discovered it contained several collector coins belonging to her. She stated that Hart had been living in her home for a few months and she suspected he was stealing some of her belongings.
