Police Officer, Suspect Shot in Waseca
Waseca, MN ( KROC AM News) - There was an officer-involved shooting in Waseca Monday.
According to a news release from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, a Waseca police officer and a suspect were shot. Both were airlifted to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale for treatment. The BCA has not yet released information about the extent of their injuries or medical conditions.
The BCA says the incident happened after 8:00 PM at a residence on the 900 block of 3rd Avenue Southeast in Waseca. Officers were responding to a disturbance at the residence when the incident occurred.
BCA agents were called to the scene and were still there as of late Monday night. The BCA will provide an update during a news conference scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Waseca Police Department.
