Owatonna Eagle Scout Landscapes Around Retirement Home
Shout out to Owatonna Eagle Scout Charlie Tucker for doing this project at a local retirement home. Not only did he help spruce up the outside, he more than likely gave many of the residents something to look forward too on those days he was working outside since COVID-19 hit, but some also may have not seen many people other than other residents and those that work at the facility.
According to a post from Benedictine Living Community-Owatonna on December 2nd, Charlie wrapped up his Eagle Scout Project, which had to do with re-landscaping around the outside of the building.
It's great to see the work that this young man did, and it wasn't only the outside of the building that was transformed with the new landscaping, he brightened the days of residents and those that work at the facility.
Speaking of brightening days of those inside our care facilities, why not send some Christmas cards to our area facilities to brighten residents' holiday season? Even better is what a florist in LeCenter is offering up right now. For $10, which includes delivery, they will make an arrangement and drop it off at the assisted living homes in the area, to boost residents' spirits during our winter months and the restrictions due to COVID. How great of an idea right?
Does anyone know of a local florist willing to deliver in our area for a deal like this? Let me know and we can let people know.
