Over 600 Fentanyl-Laced Pills Seized in Minnesota Drug Raid
Willmar, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in central Minnesota are reporting the seizure of over 600 counterfeit painkillers they say are laced with fentanyl.
A news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office says the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Willmar on Monday. Authorities reported finding 625 counterfeit oxycodone pills that tested positive for fentanyl.
The release says officers also recovered a loaded handgun and cash believed to have been made from drug sales at the residence. Following the search, taskforce members arrested a 33-year-old woman and 32-year-old man.
The two were booked into the Kandiyohi County jail on suspicion of first-degree drug possession and weapons charges. The Minnesota BCA and Willmar Police Department also took part in the Monday raid.
