Outage Affected Almost 2000 Rochester Public Utilities Customers

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Public Utilities reported a significant power outage this afternoon in northwest Rochester.

It was first reported around 3:15 and involved about 2000 homes and businesses. The RPU outage map showed most of the affected customers were in an area along and east of 18th Avenue Northwest north of 37th Street.

It took about an hour to resolve the situation. Information about the cause of the outage is not available.
