A new national survey has ranked our favorite fast-food places, and our favorite is a fairly new resident of Rochester.

It seems like there are a TON of surveys and lists out there these days, right? Well, here's another one that has ranked all our fast-food places to come up with the favorite. And, according to this survey by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, it looks like Chick-fil-A takes their top spot as America's favorite fast-food place.

Now, just how did they arrive at this conclusion? Well, this survey ranked these fast-food places on how satisfied customers are when they eat there-- not necessarily how much they like the restaurant or its menu. According to their website, ACSI "uses data from interviews with roughly 300,000 customers annually as inputs to an econometric model for analyzing customer satisfaction with more than 400 companies in 46 industries and 10 economic sectors," it said.

So, I'm exactly not sure what an 'econometric model' is, but I do know that 300,000 is a pretty big number. So which fast-food place is our favorite? Well, according to this survey, Chick-fil-A gets the highest customer satisfaction score. It's followed by Panera Bread, Arby's, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Papa John's Pizza, Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza. Starbucks, Subway and Dunkin round out the top ten fast-food restaurants when ranked by customer satisfaction.

Interestingly, most of the traditional fast-food burger places I usually think of when I hear the term 'fast-food' came in near the bottom of the list. Again, though, this list is based only on customer satisfaction. You can read the entire ACSI Index report HERE.
