High School Sports are right around the corner. It may feel like the spring sports just got wrapped up, but teams are getting back in the gym, field or court for yet another year of what should be exciting action across the area.

With all of that in mind, the Minnesota State High School League, the Minnesota Interscholastic Activities Administrators Association, and the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association teamed up, with the help of some students, to create a video that every parent, fan, referee, and athlete should watch.

You can see the video HERE.

What is great about this video is that it is coming right from the kids. Their expectations as athletes, why they play, and what they expect and love about their parents support.

Every parent is different and every parent has their own style. Some parents take a back seat to their children's activities, some are much more involved. To each their own, no worries.

The difference is behavior. Some heavily involved parents are brilliant and create an atmosphere that will allow kids to grow as athletes and people. Others, not so much.

It is a great reminder as the seasons come about to take a listen to what your kids have to say. Check out the video for yourself. It is very well done and brings everything into perspective.
