Missing Goodhue Man’s Body Pulled From Utah Lake
A Goodhue man who was reported missing last weekend has now been found dead in a reservoir located in Utah.
The body of 24-year-old Benjamin Magalis of Goodhue was pulled from the Strawberry Reservoir in Wasatch County Saturday evening. Authorities had been searching for Magalis and a 26-year-old local woman named Chenoa Plank after her father reported them missing Thursday.
The pair both worked at a local ski resort and left to go camping near the reservoir last Sunday. The pair were expected to return home on Tuesday but didn't.
The vehicle the two used to get to the campsite was found by rescue teams but their canoe was missing. The local sheriff's office believes Magalis may have drowned while canoeing near Chicken Creek West.
The search for Plank is still continuing.
