Minnesota Woman Killed in Wrong-Way Wreck
Nett Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - A woman was killed in a traffic wreck in northeast Minnesota while she was driving in the wrong lane.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 75-year-old Lorraine Connor of Nett Lake was driving north in the southbound lane of Highway 53 in St. Louis County when her car collided head-on with a large pickup truck. The pickup then spun and rolled and collided with a semi-truck.
Connor died at the scene.
The pickup truck was driven by 22-year-old Joshua Jarvela of Gilbert. He and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was identified as 29-year-old Abdirizak Ali of Burnsville. He was not hurt.
The wreck happened around 5:30 PM north of Hibbing.
