The Minnesota Timberwolves announced that they are going to have the Fitbit logo printed on their jerseys for the 2017-2018 season!

This is big news, as it a new era of Wolves basketball, and also the first of a company having sponsorship on a jersey in the NBA. Not only is Fitbit going to be o the jersey, but players, staff and fans will be able to get involved with Fitbit has the company will be a big off court sponsor as well.

It is not just the Timberwolves, the Minnesota Lynx and the Iowa Wolves will also have access to Fitbit, according to the press release from the Timberwolves website:

"Fitbit will provide access to devices to all three teams, including business and basketball staffs, offering personalized insights that can be used to gain a competitive advantage and improve performance throughout the organization. Fitbit’s logo will appear on Timberwolves player uniforms beginning with the 2017-18 season as the team’s jersey patch partner, as well as on the Iowa Wolves jerseys."

This is a pretty big step for Wolves basketball, as the Wolves and Fitbit are working on a way to have the concession food available at the game to be tracked on your Fitbit.

It is an interesting partnership, and something we will see many NBA teams do in the future, there is no doubt about that. Hopefully this new technology will help the Wolves win.
