Hokah, MN ( KROC AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the woman who was killed Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle in Hokah.

The State Patrol says 49-year-old Kerrie Hauser of Hokah was walking a dog on the shoulder of Highway 16 around 10:30 AM. She died at the scene.

The SUV that hit her was driven by 35-year-old Brittany Robb of Lewiston.

There were news media reports this was a hit-and-run incident but the State Patrol has not included that information in its report. In response to an inquiry from KROC AM News, State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson had this reply:

“This is still an active investigation and we are not releasing any more information at this time until it is completed.”
