Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minneapolis Police Department is reporting the death of a man from injuries suffered in an arson fire last summer is being counted as the 75th homicide of the year in Minneapolis.

A news release says 53-year-old Darrian Solomon died on September 9th from injuries he suffered in a house fire on June 6th. Officials say he and another man suffered significant burns and because arson was ruled the cause of the fire, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office has ruled his death a homicide.

A 37-year-old man, David Chamberlain, now faces second-degree murder and first-degree arson charges in the case.
