MiEnergy Cooperative has issued a peak alert for their members due to high demand for electricity on the regional grid across parts of Southeast Minnesota and Northeast Iowa.

According to a press release from MiEnergy Cooperative, the cooperative is calling for electricity conservation from 2 pm - 6 pm today, July 19th. The elevated peak demand leads to higher power cost.

Members can help keep electricity rates stable and affordable by shifting their electricity use to 6 pm or later today.

For any information or questions about the peak alert, you can contact MiEnergy Cooperative at 800-432-2285 or online HERE.
