Man Arrested After Fatal Arson Fire in NW Minnesota
Thief River Falls, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in Northwestern Minnesota have arrested a man in connection with an apparent arson fire and the suspicious death.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says firefighters responded to a residence in Thief River Falls late Wednesday afternoon. After extinguishing a fire in one of the 2 apartment units in the home, the body of a woman was discovered in the upper-level apartment. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner is currently working to identify the victim and determine the cause of death.
The BCA says a renter at the residence, 23-year-old Devon Pulczinski,
has been arrested. He is currently jailed in Pennington County on suspicion of arson and second-degree murder.
The incident is the third fatal fire reported in Minnesota this week. A 55-year-old Winona man was found dead in a home after firefighters put out a blaze in the residence early Monday and there was a fatal fire in the Woodbury.
