La Crosse Man Sentenced for Second Child Pornography Conviction
Madison, WI (KROC-AM News)- A La Crosse man was sentenced to12 years and six months in prison after he was convicted for processing child pornography for a second time.
A statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Western Wisconsin says in the fall of 2021, La Crosse Police searched the home and workplace of 45-year-old Jeremy Hogenkamp after receiving a cyber tip about images being uploaded to a Google Cloud account. Authorities recovered a laptop belonging to Hogenkamp that contained thousands of images of children engaged in "sexually explicit conduct."
Officers recovered the laptop at Hogenkamp’s employer. Court documents say Hogenkamp was on supervised release for an offense he committed in 2011 when authorities recovered the laptop.
Hogenkamp was also sentenced to 25 years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on March 8.
