Celebrate Valentine’s Day at a Cedar Rapids Haunted House

We have several haunted houses here in Eastern Iowa that start welcoming customers around Halloween each year, but there's only ONE that plans to reopen for Valentine's Day in 2024! The 5th Realm in Cedar Rapids will soon be transformed into... BLOODLUST.

For two days only, vampires will take over The 5th Realm at Lindale Mall for an interactive haunted attraction. The website reads:

"Join Vampire Hunters as you navigate through asylum where the Master's servant Renfield released Vlad Draculea from his imprisonment in the 5th Realm. But beware, Vlad is looking to add another Bride to his collection.

As you journey through the bowels of the asylum, beware as vampires could lurk behind every corner. And these vampires can bite! Vampires can "bite" you by placing an "I Gave Blood" on your arm. (Actors may only touch you lightly on the arm between your elbow and shoulder to place the sticker on you. Guests MUST NOT touch the actors.)

You'll be tasked with unraveling the incantation to banish Vlad back to the 5th Realm and break the curse on the poor souls who've been bitten (and possibly you and your friends!)"

BLOODLUST will be open February 9th and 10th. from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased on the Fifth Realm website HERE. You can get the latest updates by following the business' Facebook page HERE.

This actually isn't the first time that The 5th Realm has opened for a holiday other than Halloween! Last Christmas, the haunted attraction hosted Krampus encounters for folks looking for a "bone-chilling haunted holiday experience." It appeared to be a success! We will have to wait and see if the Valentine's Day experience can beat it.
