Victim of Reported Twin Cities Hit & Run Died From Gunshot Wound
Fridley, MN (KROC-AM News) - A teenage boy has been taken into custody as the suspect in the apparent murder of a young woman in a Twin Cities suburb
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says Fridley police responded Thursday afternoon to what was initially reported as a hit and run involving a pedestrian around 4 PM. Emergency responders found a severely injured young woman when they arrived at the scene and immediately began performing life-saving measures.
The victim, identified as 18-year-old Jayden Lee Kline of Fridley, was then transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. The Sheriff's Office says her death was the result of a gunshot wound.
Later Thursday evening, the 17-year-old suspect was located and arrested. At the last report, he had not been formally charged. His name has also not been released.
