Lewiston, MN (KROC-AM News)- Three teenagers suffered injuries in a crash on a southeast Minnesota highway.

They were riding in the only vehicle involved, which is being described as a pickup truck. The crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. Monday. 

Snow and ice produced by the massive winter storm still was lingering on the highway at the time of the crash, the State Patrol says.

Three Teens Hurt in Crash on Hwy. 43 in Winona County

The single-vehicle crash happened on Hwy. 43 about 10 miles north of Rushford. 

The state crash report says the pickup was traveling north when it left the roadway, entered the ditch then rolled. 

19-year-old Evan Basil Koxlien of Galesville, WI was identified as the driver. The State Patrol identified his passengers as a 16-year-old boy from Rushford and a 17-year-old girl from Rushford. 

All three of the pickup occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were all taken to a hospital in Winona for additional care, according to the State Patrol. 

Koxlien and the teen girl were not buckled up. Alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report says. 

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Rushford Ambulance and Rushford Fire also responded to the crash.
