A letter sent to the families of students on Friday morning says law enforcement determined it was safe to hold classes on Friday.

The letter, authored by Kasson-Mantorville High School Principal Trent Langemo said he was made aware of an allegation around 8:30 Thursday night that a student at the high school made “concerning statements” Thursday afternoon.

The allegation triggered an investigation that was conducted by the Kasson Police Department, Kasson-Mantorville  School Resource Officer Jesse Kasel and Langemo.

Langemo says the student accused of making the statements was not in class on Friday. Law enforcement said all students in the school are safe, the letter states.
