
Man in His 30’s Killed After Fight Escalates to Gunfire Near U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A fight escalated to fatal gunfire in Minneapolis Tuesday evening.

That’s according to the Minneapolis Police Department. Officers responded to the report of gunfire shortly before 6:30 p.m. The apparent homicide occurred about two blocks away from U.S. Bank Stadium.

Man Shot and Killed After Fight on Minneapolis Sidewalk Escalates to Gunfire
Responding officers found a man in his 30’s suffering from at least one life-threatening gunshot wound on the porch of a home in the 500 block of 11th Avenue South.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite receiving treatment from first responders, police say. His name will be released upon completion of a preliminary autopsy by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The preliminary investigation indicates a group of people got into a fight on the sidewalk in front of the home. A man involved in the altercation produced a firearm and fired a shot towards the residence, police say.
So far no arrests have been made and the deadly shooting is under investigation.
