Arrest Warrant Issued For Eyota Man Who Skipped His Sentencing
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Law enforcement agencies in the Rochester area are looking for an Eyota man who was scheduled to be sentenced last week for a stabbing that occurred about a year ago.
An arrest warrant was issued for 38-year-old old Larnell Williams after he failed to show up in Olmsted County Court to be sentenced for his conviction on a third-degree assault charge. Williams admitted to the charge in February as part of the plea agreement that was reached just before he was scheduled to stand trial on a second-degree assault charge.

Williams was arrested in May of last year after Rochester police responded to a report of a stabbing at the Parkside Mobile Home Park. The officers who responded to the southeast Rochester property off Marion Road found a 32-year-old man outside of one of the residences suffering from a stab wound.
The criminal complaint filed against Williams says the man's non-life-threatening wounds occurred when he was stabbed during an altercation inside a nearby mobile home. Witnesses told investigators that the victim and Williams were fighting in the living room and the altercation ended when Williams stabbed the other man in the abdomen.
The court document says Williams told police the altercation began after he was awakened to the sound of someone banging on the door to his home. He indicated that he only knew the man by his last name and that he was protecting himself with a knife after the stabbing victim had attacked him and he was attempting to flee.
Following his guilty plea in the case, Williams was released after posting a $20,000 bond. His arrest warrant calls for him to be held without bail when he is apprehended.
