Iowa Mayor Arrested For Illegal Pot Grow In Her House!

Are Jamaica and Ames, Iowa going to pot? The local police were looking for an 18-year-old guy suspected of shooting a woman in the chest in Ames. Why would they look for him there? They had info that said he was hiding out there.

So...yeah, they found the suspected shooter at the mayor's home. And then witch a search warrant, they found so much more. From the Des Moines Register,

The sheriff's office also found nine baggies, containing roughly 4 to 5 ounces of marijuana, though that was a rough estimate, a deputy wrote in charging documents. Drug paraphernalia was found, authorities said. An unlabeled bottle with 24 white pills identified as Lorazepam was also discovered, court records show. The Kennedys were also charged with one count of knowingly keeping a dwelling for possessing or selling a controlled substance, an aggravated misdemeanor.

She should also be charged with abuse of a stereotype. Growing and selling pot in JAMAICA!?!?
