Icy Road Conditions May Have Caused Crash In SE MN
Icy road conditions could have caused a crash that injured one person in Dodge County Monday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a Ford Sedan, driven by 52-year-old Michael Ingalls of Rochester, was traveling northbound on Highway 56 around 4 p.m. when it struck a Dodge Caravan, driven by 89-year-old Harry Marquardt of Dodge Center, at the eastbound Highway 14 ramp as the Caravan was attempting to turn Southbound on Highway 56.
Injured in the crash was the passenger in the Dodge Caravan, 65-year-old Arlinda Marquardt, who was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with what is described as non-life threatening injuries.
The two drivers in the crash, Ingalls and Harry Marquardt were not injured.
Road conditions were described as covered with snow/ice which could have caused the crash, according to the report. Kasson Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office were also at the scene.
