Hy-Vee Reinstating Special Shopping Hours for Those High Risk for COVID
As we all know, there has been an insane spike in COVID-19 cases in Minnesota. Because of this, Hy-Vee has decided to reinstate their special shopping hours for shoppers who are at high risk of serious illness from COVID.
The hour that is dedicated just to these shoppers is 7 AM - 8 AM Monday through Friday. During that time only people who are at high risk are allowed to shop at Hy-Vee. From what I've seen it looks like this special hour is in effect right now so anyone considered high risk will be able to safely shop between 7 and 8 AM during the week.
Hy-Vee clarifies in their press release that those who are considered high risk and are able to come shop during this hour include people who are:
- Ages 60 and older
- Expectant mothers
- Anyone with an underlying health condition(s) that makes him/her more susceptible to serious illness
I'm very happy that Hy-Vee decided to reinstate this. Honestly, I had no idea that stores had gotten rid of those special shopping hours. I thought that it was something they had kept up with since the beginning of the pandemic, but I guess not. So I'm glad Hy-Vee is reinstating it and hopefully other businesses will follow.
Also, during the pandemic, people have been making some... weird purchases. Have you bought any of these? Check out the list below.
