HELP! This SE Minnesota Cat Has Been Waiting To Be Adopted For 11 Years

Welcome back to our adoptable animal of the week post. This week we are featuring another feline, this cat's name is John, and he is another cat that has been at the shelter a long time, and would love to find his new home. John has been at the Mower County Humane Society since back in April of 2009, and it's all he has ever known. Let's find him a home, outside of the shelter!

My friend Michaela, who volunteers at the Mower County Humane Society has more on our adoptable animal John who has spent his life growing up at humane society.

"He is a shy guy but warms up when he gets to know you and is comfortable in his surroundings. This has made it difficult for him over the years to be seen and noticed here at MCHS. However, we believe in miracles over the last few amazing adoptions of our long term residents and know his perfect match is out there somewhere!"

"John is looking for someone who is understanding and patient while he adjusts to a new life outside the shelter. At 12 years old he deserves nothing but the best for his golden years! Once John knows you he is always out and about ready to greet you and enjoys brushes from his favorite volunteers."

John is a playful cat who loves to play with some string and will put a smile on your face as he chases his toy mice around.

If you've got other cats in the home it seems like he does well with other cats as Michaela noted to us that "John does well with other cats here at the shelter but would prefer a home with older calmer children."
