Hazardous Waste Collection in Fillmore County

Time to clean out your shed, basement and garage and get rid of hazardous household waste.  The Resource Recovery Center in Preston will hold a fall collection Tuesday October 3 from noon till 5 p.m.  Early drops offs WILL NOT be accepted.  Acceptable items include aerosol cans, bug sprays, floor care products, adhesives, car care products, roofing tar, lawn care products, all types of paint and swimming pool chemicals.  Items not accepted on collection day are ag chemicals, explosives, medical waste, business waste, radioactive waste and empty cans.
Bring your waste items in a non-returnable container or box.
