How to Get Free Starbucks in April At Two Rochester Locations
You can get a free cup of Starbucks coffee at two Rochester Starbucks locations!
April is Donate Life Month, where you're encouraged to sign up to be an organ donor (if you are already signed up, AWESOME...please remind your family, OK?). But it is also a month to help out the Gift of Life Transplant House on Second Street in Rochester, Minnesota.
Here's How It Works -
No, you do not need to donate a liver to get free coffee. Drop off any of the items you see in the list below (candy is always super welcome, but must be individually wrapped) at the North and South Broadway locations in the flyer.
Why Do They Need This Stuff
The Gift of Life Transplant House is much like the Ronald McDonald House and Hope Lodge. If you're going thru something huge medically, and you're not from Rochester, Mayo is great, but you need more than great medical care. You need an environment of caring and loving people around you in your off time.
People at the House are a community of people, supporting each other, making lifelong friends, and on good days, hearing the hard stories. And on bad days, sharing their hard stories.
The things on the list above go into the general "fund" of stuff for people that need it. It's basically a very quiet hug from the community. Remember last time you were sick and you needed paper towels or some fruit, and a friend helped you out?
It's like that. Only the quiet little hugs help people recover from life-changing surgery...or keep going 'til they can get life-changing surgery.
