After taking a one-year hiatus, the spooky non-profit fundraiser Nightmare on First Street is back in Fountain! This year benefitting the Fillmore County Historical Society.

If you are looking for an exciting (and scary) experience with yourself and your friends, you are going to want to check this out! Nightmare on First Street is routinely rated as one of the best haunted houses in the state, and this year looks to be even bigger and scarier!

This marks the 10th year that the Nightmare on First Street will be open to patrons looking for a frightening experience. Each year the experience is different than years past, but this year in particular it has been completely rebuilt.

According to a news release, routes have been changed, walls moved, and details abound to the tune of this year's theme Haunted Mansion & Estate.

What to Expect in Haunted Mansion & Estate at Nightmare on First Street

Attendees can expect creepy scenes, hand-carved pumpkins, labyrinthine routes, screams and moans, surprises and scares, live actors, and "maybe an appearance by DEATH!" Attendees may also discover a rabid butler, murderous nanny, cleaver-wielding cook, ghostly servants, stairway to oblivion, poisoned feast, overly-welcoming coffin, torturous dungeon, and so much more!

Sounds pretty awesome, doesn't it?!

The experience has expanded to nine nights this year and is created and hosted by Paul and Regan Little of Fountain. Nightmare can take about 20-45 minutes to experience, depending on how quickly you navigate through and affect your escape.

Nightmare on First Street runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the last three weekends of October. Specifically October 15th, 16th, & 17th; 22nd, 23rd, & 24th; and 29th, 30th, & 31st; from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. each night.

While some prefer their haunt with less scare, we can’t remove the scariness of the site!

Nightmare on First Street: Field of Screams & Haunted Barn lurks and prowls around and behind The Dead End, 609 First Street, Fountain, Minnesota. The minimum donation requested is $15 per person. You can find more information on the Nightmare on First Street's website.
