RFD says the cold weather was “a challenge for firefighters, as freezing water from hoselines made for difficult footing and frozen gear and tools. The overhaul operation to locate and extinguish all fire.”

RFD says the deck was completely destroyed, as was the exterior wall near the deck. There was minimal smoke and water damage on the interior of the home. There was significant fire damage to 3-4 floor joists under the trailer as well.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A loss estimate was not provided.
