Faribault Man Faces Possible Life Sentence in Iowa
Cedar Rapids, IA (KROC-AM News) - A Faribault man has been convicted of federal child sex trafficking charges in Iowa.
A news release from the US Attorney for Northern Iowa says 50-year-old Terrence Nordwall has been found guilty of attempted sex trafficking of children, attempted enticement of minors, and travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. Federal prosecutors say he was charged after he traveled to the Cedar Rapids area to meet and engage in sexual activity with two people he believed were 14 and 15-year-old girls. Instead, he was met by law enforcement officers.
Nordwall was previously sentenced to probation for criminal sexual conduct and child pornography convictions in Minnesota. Federal officials say he now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and the possibility of a life prison sentence.
