Fantastic Singer in Rochester Just Crowned the Winner at Recent Contest

Rochesterfest's Karaoke Extravaganza has a history of bringing the rain to Rochester, Minnesota but NOT in 2021.  The huge event did, however, bring amazing talent to the stage at Soldier's Field in downtown Rochester this summer and I was one of the lucky people to hear them all.

I've been to Rochestefest many times but one event I haven't watched yet was Karaoke Extravaganza.  But a few weeks ago, my boss let me know that I'd be sitting at the judging table for the event this year with one of my awesome co-workers, Carly Ross from 106.9 KROC.  I'm used to have a microphone in front of my every day since I'm on the radio every day of the week.  Although I wasn't in front of one this time, I was in front of some scoring sheets...and man, was that job tough!

It was a complete pleasure to meet you, hear your performances, and soak up the energy that you gave as you belted out your favorite songs.  Congrats to all of you!  And if you missed the event, check out a few photos we were able to take in between some of the performances.  (Yes, including a few silly ones!)

So, how was judging?  That was ONE question Carly and I have been asked a bunch since the contest on Thursday.  Honestly, it was challenging but it was truly a fun experience and I'm very thankful to have a chance to hang out with the crowds in Rochester, Minnesota.  Who knows, maybe you'll see me at the table again next year?!
