Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Voting begins today for the November 3 General Election in Minnesota.

State voters can now submit their choices for President, members of Congress, along with numerous positions in the Minnesota Legislature and local governments using absentee ballots, either through the mail or in person.

Olmsted County is offering in-person early absentee voting through November 2 at the new County Elections Office at 2122 Campus Drive Southeast in Rochester. The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 5 PM.

Voters can request mailed in absentee ballots by filling out an application through the Minnesota Secretary of State's website or by contacting the Olmsted County Elections Office at 507-328-7650. The ballots will be mailed to voters beginning today.

Election officials note that Olmsted County residents who previously applied for a ballot to be mailed to them for the General Election, batch mailings of those ballots are scheduled to take place today, next Tuesday, and next Friday.
