Country Music History September 29

"The Singing Cowboy", Gene Autry was born September 29, 1907.  Autry had quite a career as a singer, movie star and owner of the California Angels baseball team.  "Back In The Saddle Again" was Autry's biggest hit and his signature song.  He joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1969.

"The Killer", Jerry Lee Lewis was also born this date in 1935 in Louisiana.

Colt Daniel Rich, son of John Rich and his wife, Joan, was born in 2011.

And in 2004, the Hollywood Walk of Fame received a new star, that being for Randy Travis.
