Country Music History September 29

"The Singing Cowboy" Gene Autry was born September 29, 1907 in Tioga, Texas.  Autry's signature song "Back in the Saddle Again".  Autry joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1969, and was owner of the Calilfornia Angels baseball team.

"The Killer" Jerry Lee Lewis was born in 1935 in Ferriday, Louisiana.

In 2004, Randy Travis received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

And in 2011, John Rich and his wife, Joan, have a son Colt Daniel Rich.
