Country Music History September 20
There really isn't a lot to report in country music history for September 20, but here goes!
In 1955, Tennessee Ernie Ford recorded what went on to be his signature song, "Sixteen Tons". The song was written by Merle Travis.
Volunteer Jam XV was held in Nashville in 1992. Headliners included Eddie Rabbit, The Desert Rose Band, Little Feat, The Oak Ridge Boys and Suzy Bogguss.
And in 2008, the #1 Billboard country single is Brad Paisley and "Waitin' On A Woman".
