This is one gutsy lady who knew what she wanted! In 1978 with just a mattress strapped to the top of her vehicle and a trunk full of belongings, Kathy Mattea took a chance and moved to Nashville to pursue a singing career. Smart move!
Another hit from Willie Nelson. "Blue Skies", a beautiful rendition at that, is #1 on the Billboard chart in 1978. Willie's "Stardust" album is one of the best he recorded; just my opinion.
"Big Green Tractor" earned a gold single for Jason Aldean in 2009.
In 2012, Trace Adkins works with Firestone on a TV campaign. Trace provided voice overs for ads.
