A new month already!  Country Music Hall of Fame member Conway Twitty was born September 1, 1933 in Friars Point, Mississippi.  Twitty was born with the given name Harold Jenkins.

Born in 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky Exile drummer Steve Goetzman.  Bandera, Texas was the birth place for Charlie Robison in 1964.  Robison was once married to Dixie Chick Emily Erwin.

In 2004, Sara Evans and Brooks & Dunn performed at the Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York.  Evans sang "Born to Fly", while Brooks &  Dunn belted out "Only In America".

In 2006 making her first appearance at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time, Taylor Swift sang "Tim McGraw".
