In 2002, LeAnn Rimes sang the national anthem at the World Series in San Francisco. The Giants beat the Angels 16-4.
In 1980 Eddie Rabbitt earned two gold albums, one for "The Best of Eddie Rabbitt" and the second for "Horizon".  Eddie passed away in 1998 from lung cancer.
