"Big Bad John" singer, Jimmy Dean, was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010.
In 2002, LeAnn Rimes sang the national anthem at the World Series in San Francisco. The Giants beat the Angels 16-4.
In 1980 Eddie Rabbitt earned two gold albums, one for "The Best of Eddie Rabbitt" and the second for "Horizon".  Eddie passed away in 1998 from lung cancer.
