Country Music History October 21
Baseball is highlighted in today's country music history. In 1997, Reba McEntire sang the national anthem in Cleveland before game 3 of the World Series. Marlins beat the Indians by a score of 14 to 11.
"Shock'n Y'all" earned a quadruple-platinum for Toby Keith in 2004. And In 1999, "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks reached eight million shipments. Quite a milestone for them both.
