Country Music History October 18

Digging way back into the history books, in 1952 Hank Williams married Billie Jean Jones Eshliman in Minden, Louisiana.

"Nothin' To Lose" and "I Want To Live" singer, Josh Gracin was born in Westland, Michigan in 1980.  Gracin came to light on the country music scene when he performed on "American Idol".

In 1983, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton received a gold single for "Islands In The Stream".  Mickey Gilley gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1984.   And in 2009, the Nashville Songwriters Association International named Toby Keith Songwriter/Artist of the Decade.
