The one and only Alan Jackson was born October 17, 1958 in Newnan, Georgia.  Jackson broke into the country music scene in 1989, signing with Arista Records.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Born in 1941, singer/songwriter Earl Thomas Conley in Portsmouth, Ohio.  Conley had several hits in the 1980's including "Fire and Smoke" and "Your Love's On The Line".

In 1989, The Gatlin Brothers were just about to sing the national anthem during the World Series when a major earthquake shook San Francisco.  The game was post-poned.

Tim McGraw received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006.

And in 2014, Little Big Town was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry singing "Boondocks" and "Bring It On Home".
