In 1970, Johnny Cash held the #1 spot on the Billboard country singles chart with "Sunday Morning Coming Down".  The Cash classic was written by Kris Kristofferson.

And in 1958, "Delta Dawn" singer Tanya Tucker was born in Seminole, Texas.  Tucker had a long career starting at a teenager and racked up many hits including "Texas (When I Die)" and "Down To My Last Teardrop".
