Country Music History November 28

Wow--I sure have been lax in getting history out to you over the long weekend.  Time to buckle down!

November 28, 1955 Kristine Oliver was born in Manhattan Beach, California.  Along with her sister, Janis Gill, they formed Sweethearts of the Rodeo and had several rockabilly hits in the 1980's.

One of my favorite songs "Behind Closed Doors" was recorded in 1972 by Charlie Rich.

Kimberly Roads of Little Big Town married her sweetheart Stephen Schlapman in 2006.  The couple were married on a Caribbean island with Kimberly's bandmates Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook in attendance.
