Country Music History November 2

Now this is something I didn't know.  Roy Acuff dabbled in the political arena. In 1948, he ran for Governor of Tennessee but lost by a 2-1 margin to Gordon Browning.

Birthdays today include k.d. lang, born November 2, 1961 in Alberta, Canada.  Lincoln William Holiday Alphin was born in 2005 to parents "Big" Kenny Alphin and his wife Christie.
