Today is a pretty uneventful day as far as country music history is concerned. But, it is Thursday and that brings us closer to the weekend. Without further ado, in a ceremony at the White House on November 12, 2003, the National Medal of Arts was presented to George Strait by President George W. Bush and the National Endowment for the Arts.
In 2006, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans 27-26 at Nashville's LP Field. The national anthem was sung by Josh Turner.
