Before we get down to business, the staff of KFIL takes this time to salute veterans of the United States Armed Forces on this Veterans Day.
Now, here's your country music history for November 11.  Singer Narvel Felts was born in 1938 near Kaiser, Arkansas.  Felts had several rockabilly hits throughout his career, most notably his remake of Dobie Gray's "Drift Away" and Jackie Wilson's "Lonely Teardrops". Two great songs, in my opinion.
In 1993, Crystal Gayle and Harry Connick, Jr., performed at the dedication of the Vietnam Women's National Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, the #1 song in 1995 was "King" George Strait and "Check Yes Or No".  Carrie Underwood held the #1 spot in 2006 with "Before He Cheats".
