Country Music History May 8

Happy Sunday!   Ozzie and Harriet's boy, Ricky Nelson, was born May 8, 1940.  In addition to performing on TV in "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" with his brother and parents, Ricky had a pop singing career and a few cross-over into country hits including "Garden Party".

Lily Pearl Black was born in 2001 to parents Clint Black and Lisa Hartman.

Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1961 the #1 tune was Faron Young and "Hello Walls".  Willie Nelson held the spot in 1982 with "Always On My Mind", and in 2004, it was Keith Urban and "You'll Think of Me".
