Looking back quite a number of years, in 1935 The Carter Family recorded what is probably their signature song "Can The Circle Be Unbroken (By and By)".

Larry Strickland and Naomi Judd were married in 1989 in Nashville.  Ashley and Wynonna Judd were bridesmaids.

Proving she's brains and not all beauty, Carrie Underwood graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma in 2006.  She received a Bachelors of Arts degree.

The Billboard country singles chart in 2006 finds the #1 spot held by Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles with "Who Says You Can't Go Home".  And in 1998, "You're Still The One" by Shania Twain is certified platinum.
