1942 Virginia Wynette Pugh - Tammy Wynette - was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi. The First Lady of Country is a Country Music Hall of Fame member and had huge hits including, probably her most famous, "Stand By Your Man".
1997 Gracie Katherine McGraw is born, the first child of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. When Gracie is nine, she is part of the children's chorus in Tim's hit "Last Dollar (Fly Away)".
1999 Faith Hill is a big winner of the Academy of Country Music Awards. Single Record and Video of the Year for "This Kiss"; Top Female Vocalist; and Vocal Event with her husband, Tim McGraw, for "Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me".
2009 A Tony nomination for Best Original Score for "9 to 5 The Musical" is given to Dolly Parton.
