May 5, 1942 Virginia Wynette Pugh was born in Mississippi.  Tammy Wynette went on to be a Country Hall of Fame member and was called the "First Lady of Country Music", recording such great hits as "Til I Get It Right" and her signature "Stand By Your Man".

Also born on May 5, Jenny Gill, daughter of Vince and Janis Gill in 1982.  Gracie Katherine McGraw, daughter of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, was born in 1997.  You can hear Gracie singing on Tim's "Last Dollar (Fly Away)".

Singing "Austin", Blake Shelton made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2001.
